LET’s DISCUSS!! Punch Decision To Strip Buhari Of President Title And Call Him “Major General” – A Total Disrespect Or True Fight To Uphold Rule Of Law?

This is what to expect when Agbada is worn ontop military uniform 😂

Punch Newspapers has decided to play a lead role in making the Nigerian media live up to it’s title of being the Forth Estate Of The Realm.

Following the continuous detention of Sowore by DSS despite several court orders to release him on bail, the Punch newspapers has made a brave move to address President Buhari’s administration as “regime” and address him with his military title “Major-General” in all their publications.

Many Nigerians have hailed the newspaper organization for the fearless decision despite ongoing moves to suppress public opinion on issues of national importance through bills like “Hate Speech“, “Social Media Bill” and others.

In Nigeria, there seems to be a huge disrespect to the rule of law that says, the law is supreme over everybody.

Therefore, all attempts by the government to be using military tactics in a democratic atmosphere should not be allowed.

Or what do we call a government whose agency is notorious for disobeying orders of court?

Punch Has No Right To Change Buhari’s Title To Major General – Presidency

The height of all disrespect for the rule of law is attempt by DSS to re-arrest Sowore in court few hours after releasing him on bail.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians have criticized Punch Newspapers for making moves to disrespect the President over Sowore’s issue.

But then, we would love to have your thoughts on this 👇
